Government Projects

City of Swan

North Star Security was the incumbent contractor for maintenance of all the City of Swan sites, carrying out the maintenance, repair and installation works for all their Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV Systems. Our main contract with City of Swan was based on providing service, maintenance and installation work to the City. These were done in conjunction with the City’s security staff. Having extensive knowledge and experience with Forcefield provides a solid foundation for our technicians.

Other work includes the servicing of the City of Swans CCTV surveillance systems, the scope of works includes:

  • Replacing the existing cameras with new.
  • Adding new cameras.
  • Servicing the head-end of the CCTV surveillance systems
  • Fault finding all forms of networking, tracing and routing IP addresses so that the cameras can be viewed remotely.
  • Testing Fibre-Optic network including converters, modems and cabling for the cameras.
  • Working on CCTV cameras that are in an open space environment that requires an Elevated Working Platform (EWP) for the technician being able to work safely on high mounted cameras that are located on poles.

NSS was recently awarded a major tender for the City of Swan. The scope of works for this tender includes upgrading City of Swan sites from Tecom to Integriti.

 

Department of Communities – Disabilities Services & Child Protection Services

NSS has provided ongoing security services to the Department of Communities for many years. These services include Service, Maintenance, Installation and 24/7 Alarm Monitoring. During the years that we have been providing Security services to the Disabilities Services Commission, we have supplied, installed, serviced and maintained a variety of duress devices. Additionally, we have recently upgraded the duress system in the Joondalup Child Protection Office. During this upgrade, NSS created two stainless-steel Mimic Panels. When a duress activates within the premise, the corresponding light flashes on the Mimic Panels. This informs all staff within the common area and reception of a duress alarm.

 

WA Schools Public Private Partnership

Another client that NSS provides security services to is the WA Public Private Partnership Schools (WA PPP Schools). North Star Security has provided ongoing service, maintenance and installation support to the Byford, Alkimos, Landsdale, Lakelands and Harrisdale WA PPP Schools for numerous years. When North Star Security first begun working for the WA PPP Schools, NSS was given the opportunity to install all the duress alarm, CCTV, smoke alarm, access control and security alarm systems at the WA PPP Schools.

 

Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions – Kensington Site

North Star Security provides service, installation, maintenance and other security products and services for the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, located in Kensington WA. North Star Security provides CCTV verification monitoring services, along with CCTV health monitoring for their CCTV surveillance system.
